It has become surreal that time passes so quickly, yet the activities you’ve always wanted to do keeps piling up. Living up to a new age where entrepreneurialism capitalizing on seed funding for venture growth has me startled. Really, money to start up should only be used to build your product, not to help market it. Being strong means knowing how to use the rest of the free resources you have to make things worth more than you already have.

There is no relationship of this to my P. Eng exam. I drew this on a whim from another source.

Today was my Professional Engineering Exam at the University of Toronto. Besides the difficulty in the law portion of the exam, it went fairly well through. The exam is split into two sections, one on ethics, the other on laws, starting off with some simple definitions. It then leads to short story cases of professional misconducts and requests the examiners to make a statement on the situation.

It’s not an overwhelmingly difficult exam, it had a lot of ethical dilemmas and questions as to why it would be on paper and not in real life… but what matters is that it happens in real life that textbooks or literary text can’t really portray. It sounds like academic stupidity, bar none, but the most redeeming factor is that even in my workplace, my manager is liable to doing something similar (the fall back scenario is that before legal issues are in place, his submissions will be rejected… hopefully because we’ve seen the BCIN stamp codes be accepted somehow for engineering drawings == warning red sirens).

Next week is a special weekend for me. Going to be a huge get together party with friends and I’m in charge of cooking the meal and preparing games. Hopefully I can make people play the Nonary Game from Virtue’s Last Reward. As a result of being away, the church students got together and gave me a card~~

Currently on my to watch list besides anime is a propaganda video of North Korea’s ordeal with control and current wishes for control of their people to be effortlessly loyal to their leader. This was distributed near the borders of NKorea trying to get other non-Korean constituents into working solely for the great leader.

Warning, the video in the link below contains graphic violence, inhumane actions against minorities and mostly a convoluted sense of reality. Although there are traces of truth, it is also combined with lies and deception made to disrupt the sense of real thoughts and acts are put up to pollute the mind and stare away from the dangers North Korea is putting on to the rest of the world.

It brings me now to the reason why I would like to call myself an emotion engineering graduate. It’s always easy to steal titles of already existing famous titles, like Consulting Detective, or media master mind. The point is that there’s a unique you and  a unique me, then why not individually unique title? In that stance, my title is who I am, I come to measure psychological aspects of individuals as my profession and execute schedules to guarantee the exposition of situations to occur. A sense of double play, initiating a beginning at the same time expecting the results. Not all of it may in fact work out accordingly, so changes have to be in place, understanding that in the point of view of design, test, evaluate, modify design, repeat. Yet we all do it on a normal basis, we speak what’s free and don’t regret, or we don’t speak to not initiate argument. Both are valid reasons, I choose the one that leads to grow a community of opportunity, big or small, little or lots. But I tend to pass information down if there’s links involved. It’s better to give opportunity than not to speak for it… it’s not about rewards at the end but rather to accelerate growth and potential because you will never know when you will require advice from that opportunity you have given others.

Ethics and dilemmas will form, like any design. But here’s one worth taking a crack at: if you see a guy or girl in line in front of you crying, would you (having a tissue on your pockets/bag) give it to them?

Raising the bar a bit: let’s say their boyfriend/girlfriend had just said something offensive leading them to cry right in front of you, would you still give that tissue away?

To really get conversations going, there needs to be substance. A problem to begin the analysis, a method to get to a final decision. Without any, it quickly becomes bland and erode. Satire to this, I am guilty of such displaced meanings. So I always take a page from the TV series of Sherlock to look for adventure:

What inspires risky innovation? We see it constantly as a method to strive for success. However, what are the repurcussions as a result of failure in the business? If that $10k deposit never made it to Salman Khan’s bank, will the words of satisfaction bring him forward to another 6+ months of progress?

This article is not going to focus on the concerns of entrepreneurs. I’m sure there are tons of articles of successful and unsuccessful entrepreneurs. This is to focus on articles and my personal opinion regarding the benefits and consequences of using online learning. The institutions establishing these online credibility are wonderful and insightful technologies for out of classroom experience come for various uses.

Knowledge plenty

If it’s PSYCH 101 or ANTH 102 where memorizing is key to these course’s success, Khan’s academy of pouring this information is plentifully powerful. The concrete facts and statistical polls by regions can help shape distinctive cues as to answering these very pain staking questions you don’t have to search Yahoo answers for.

The goals and values of Khan’s deliveries are very well met for its ability to deliver you the content needed to complete any background field of choice. From statistics to basic physics calculations, these exercises help fundamentally disrupt the barrier of diploma universities which offer the same content by their drone like professors.

Application lacking:

Being a Khan academy advocate, you are very strained to your natural environment as you will not be moving elsewhere to learn from an online course. Being stuck at home, you are inclined to buy those fancy equipment for tens of thousands of dollars. You most likely would be reading them from textbooks or simple flash applications to get through your studies.

A major turn off factor is if it requires direct interaction with other individuals. Since this is an online application and many stable work placement locations fall under engineering, collaboration, and management, it is difficult to just be aware of it. Acting out and resolving issues requires these extra members.

Possible employment opportunities:

Someone here posted about the lack of activities Khan sees in his academy: co-op. And so I will not comment more about the situation of linking co-op with Khan’s un-interactive environment

All in all, if it’s programming, you’re sure to be able to find yourself available. However, if you are those in PSYCH looking for a full time position in clinic or otherwise human interaction heavy, this is one spot you don’t want to hinder you. If you are in this position, I highly recommend you visit your local clinics or areas where you like interest in field work and keep harassing them for open positions. It’s a dirty tactic, but I don’t see why given your repeated attendance and conversations why they don’t understand it’s a cue you want to work for them~

There is no verdict to Khan Academy. You weigh in what you’d want and from there determine availability. If you live in the outskirts of nowhere and you want a degree, this is an ample of opportunity for you. If you are thinking of classing in new skills, it’s a good start. If you think this is a degree to getting that dream job, it’s only a step. If you think this will replace your undergraduate career, you might want to rethink twice.

Some insider thoughts

So what’s the difference between software manufacturing and physical product manufacturing? There is no need for a manufacturing plant! Labour just becomes hiring employees to code and not have to worry about producing the physical products, where most of the money is spent developing.

This is how the service industries truly prosper, making the value of money be diverted to doing larger, grander parties. This is why the financial markets are so rich… they keep eyes on other people’s wealth and take a percentage point of it.

It’s why companies can offer catering within the company every week, why the service industry can strive to do so much more… and why the manufacturing industry finds a huge loss in productivity by not offering the catering service for their employees and instead focuses on building more plants and expanding all for the sake of profits.

But my goal is to change all of that. My goal is to find ways to let the manufacturing industry prosper with opportunity of treating their employees like family. I may have the skills to do so, but I will also have to look forward to opportunity and being able to execute it. Hopefully I can be able to write a thesis on ‘stand alone stalls trying to make money’ within offices and their effects of co-habilitation for conversations within the same building.

Sometimes I do wonder why people would overly consider aesthetics over technical uses. A flat desk contains more usable space than folding tables on top of one another, but you lose the sharp edges that make shadows sharp and contrast.

This corner space is well used up to cover with simple light coloured furniture, sadly resting on it can be a bit troublesome.

3. Merchandise: Niche items were also on display, for sale and some to encourage you to go to their shop.

There were also kinky shops at the corner selling various custom made items that looked really well. I’d personally say that the lack of large space for what they sell was what compelled me not to buy anything from there.

Overall, IDS 2013 is an upscale to a normal marketing event venue of meeting people. The place holds many professionals from around Canada and parts of the world. Highly professional and only somewhat classy to say if you do not wear formal clothes, eyes will direct at you. There’s a lot to look around and find potential sales associates to build that upcoming future dream home of yours. If none of this is of your interest, there is always the displays and art forms surrounding interior design to look at and inspire to do your own.

I’m going to be on hiatus from this blog for a few weeks (maybe?)… one reason being that I’m working with a friend on a slightly secret project, so I won’t even have time to do other excessive activities XD Unless if Fire Emblem is keeping me up. I’m not always against watching College humor because the jokes can be offensive, Dorkley is super offensive by that regards. Most of them are good time wasters (which already begs to differ why I’m watching them – 3 -). But the twists and turns you can analyze and experience based on comment feedback and from there move to do your own version with alternative effects.

It’s the notion of being supportive, but at the same time unable to be the true detective batman portrays, these pseudo bat-men want to really know how it feels to fight crime like batman… without the IQ.

And of course, there is always just real… real life people being… a bat… man.

The whole Chinese drama and sort of corporate ladder jumping with favours is quite compelling. Even having heard a Wuhan friend of mine call upon hospital nurses having to be given red pockets to ensure the patient receives even just ‘fair’ treatment.

The list goes on as to what China has been confined to in dealing with these political and employment structural propaganda.

On the topic of Pokemon and alternatives / derivatives, Pokemon Direct released information regarding the upcoming Pokemon game, generation X and Y. It’s the next generation of Pokemon to be released simultaneously around the world~

As seen in the comments section for siliconera, gematsu, kotaku, the different reactions and fan base community really goes to show the dedication to Pokemon in various respects. From artistic styles to just using it as an excuse for a 3DS.

Personally, to get me interested in Pokemon again, they really need to put in something that does real time battles. Time and again I’m always into strategy, but with the overall pool of characters and abilities are all stacked on statistics. Not to say the ‘underdog’ will always win, but it gives them a better chance since it’s going to be up to the player’s actions.

Then again, to port it with Super Smash is only an idea. Again and again I’ll say that it needs Pokemon Rumble Blast environment but with statistics engine of the normal Pokemon game… then I’ll say it’s going to be a totally worthy game to play on both levels.

But this new concept should just be a new game altogether. The fact Pokemon is still fun because you can play on it while commuting without having to fully pay attention to the game. This attraction lets you play it at a relaxing pace.

Martin Solveig has been somewhat of a fan. From the creative tour around the world and turned into a 4 or so episodic adventure around the world, the pitch was that it was about the adventures of both Martin and his manager, LaFaille. Their encounters and opportunity led them to experience things like tennis, idols and even… LOVE~

On the Value of Gifts

When you look back at why you make lists, you realize that next year, a better one exists. However, it gets you to think outside a box and into the laps of another joyous smile to be seen that what you get them is in their hearts for what they wanted~

1. For all them ladies

It seems if you’re out of budget but have $60 or so for that special someone, get them lovely fluffy Alpacas (suggested Ebay retailer, there are tons of other places too)~

These substitutes can replace you for all the time you’re not with them, just make sure you’re not being replaced all the time even when you’re there.

2. USB sticks

Clearly there’s not enough space to go around in this world. If you want to make it an extra, put on that USB stick some of that delicious movies you wanted to watch with that special someone.

4. Being Giftless (for the time being)

If you want someone to be dazzled by how committed you are to having them enjoy life to the fullest, effort is NEVER time based. There’s always a time for waiting, relaxing, working… and most often the case, opportunity. Life is full of these pores of opportunity you have to go out and seek them… sitting at home and doing the scheduled mundane tasks (some are mandatory like chores but they shouldn’t take that long) isn’t going to help open boxes of future’s delight.

Things like sharing time with your best buddies, helping them with reaching their personal goals or getting over barriers. These ideas may only last once, but it’s just as good gift as a greeting card you get from others once a year.

Or maybe even stumbling to find an odd job like this one.

X. DOUBLE SPOKEN GIFTS

These are the new generation of gift giving that really goes and does two things at once. It replaces conventional gifts with much thought and intention you had those skills in the past.

Ex. Take this Varacil. It’s a pen; but it also requires you to build it… WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONS, making you require to put your holiday brain cells back to shape!

On the notion of Stamping Vacation Time

When you think about trying to be in the top of the game, does week long vacations work for you or consistent vacation times? We’re all so concentrated on week long weekends of continuous break time spent all at once. However, what if we consider taking a break in between.

Alike taking a break after lunch, except to occur on Wednesdays of every week where there’s no holiday. This way, you don’t have to feel the Wednesday mid-week gloom but at the same time expend all your available holidays.

Of course this is just an idea and you prob will do a mix of 1 day in between vacations with a few days in a row for like cruise trips or something… then again, I’m not that big of a cruise ship fan since it hasn’t helped me improve my sense of being me and just makes me become super lazy…

Though with that said, you won’t be able to experience driving with the sun coming up and down…

New Years is suppose to be a time of giving up on the old lingering things and picking up the slack. It’s meant not to wish for things, rather, to do them and make it real. Reading up on programming is a goal that can be done and achievable… wishing to learn a new language might be on a new milestone that will take a while.

I did enjoy, even though it was not very young people appreciated as it was more of a gentleman club and I haven’t reached that status yet, the party I went to instead of being stuck at home for the count down like last year. I went to church for countdown and they had just enough activities to keep me entertained: lucky draws, prizes, desserts and dancing to motivate interaction between the members at the party who pretty much know each other.

Mom got to do a condensed vers. of Gangnam style that the liturgy group had done at a previous instance at a Christmas church party earlier in the year.

On the notion of making new years resolution, this year is going to really be ‘blank’. It’s not because I like to think on the spot or the fact I keep iterating my designs that I require check-points. When you realize the world can get slightly behind your pace, and with others slightly ahead, you’d want to widen the negative gap and close in on the positive gap… but how much do you still have to go to get there? It’s near impossible to calculate, so I’ll leave the distance and opportunity to time.

Yeah, added that Charisma lesson from Psycho-pass to my upcoming presentation on “mentoring” at UW for ACE Financial Services (sorry, they’re doing it privately so that in fear I screw it up it doesn’t go public XD hahahaa just kidding~, just want my presentation only for their private staff)… but first, finishing up my masters portfolio. (maybe these are just January resolutions)

Happy New Year e v e r y b o d y ~ Time changes preferences and choices of matter. If you continue to linger at what’s lost, nothing will be done for the future. It’s best to leave the old moral thoughts behind and keep thinking of new ones. For surely last year is only an example of things to learn from for next year. I certainly have to agree that there’s a degree of display of male and female body parts pertaining what is necessary to make it eye-candy worthy. However, I also value the opportunity that games should be made of equal opportunity… I’m sure girls will find shirt-less slenderly buff men are attractive to play as but probably due to lack of female opinions at the round table of decisions, it was left out for debate.

I’m not particularly fond of playing with buff men simply cuz I am like exercise-free male but all the characters in Soul Sacrifice portray otherwise… -_- so I will resort to my first time playing as a female character…

A game review of something horrid to begin your festivities by having me review Soul Sacrifice!

I’ll only talk about what makes it devastating unique that triumphs over the recent PS Vita release of Ragnarok Odyssey and the variance to Monster Hunter.

The whole battle system revolves around sacrificing. During combat, each attack has a set supply count. Depleting further than the intended amount cracks the item from further use until you nourish it with some sort of apathy points (translation to be had when you wipe the book each time by touching it). Nourishment can only be done after each story battle.

Each weapon ability is unique, but you can slot in multiple ones in your weapon slots. Nature of weapons also affect weakness of bosses. Their abilities vary depending on the element and structure of attack. There are shields you can put up or craft swords out of your bones, or shoot bones out of your finger tips. Each sacrifice for attack is quite noticeable and therefore familiarity with the sacrifice requirements is mandatory to survive. The fact that each weapon has a supply count makes it difficult to balance out in terms of saving the stock to fight against the target monster and the minions that spawn over time.

Upgrades work by having two of the same weapon and you craft a one level higher of the same item, giving you one additional use per upgrade. Hording is quite useful in this sense to merge unnecessary items to allow for greater amount of usage. After crafting two third upgraded weapon increases the power and starts as a fresh new weapon with more attack. The incentive is that hoarding these weapons is still fine.

One note about caring for your allies is that each of your offensive attacks stagger your friends, though they don’t take much damage. In many instances, staggering = GG from boss after 1 clean swipe. This new reserved play style in a massive party game really pits you to become super strategic.

I recall standing in front of my ally’s ice landslide ability and froze solid in front of the enemy… GG also took some health too which led to my defeat against a fire spewing bomb-like boss.

A unique concept of the game is the ability to absorb defeated foes by ‘purifying’ or ‘sacrifice’. Like Infamous or Prototype, you can purify hearts to gain overall defense or wreck the heart of the fallen foe and gain offensive stat once leveling up. However, in each battle, purifying enemies grants you health increase and defense buff while demonizing defeated foes increases offensive power and re-supplies your entire attack slots by 1! Very critical if you still want to be purely Devious but need that slight HP boost, you can still go back to boosting your demonic side with the next consumption of defeated foe.

As a Monster Hunter alternative, this game is really strategically pleasing and hardcore. Not anymore is this a hack and slash, but offering casting of magic to hurl at an opponent is the main character of soul sacrifice. Instead of everyone holding fort in MH at the enemy, with one shooter at back and hammer ready to pummel close by, Soul Sacrifice is open to all options of close, mid and far range… anticipating players to play this game however they want with weapons on the go.

The contrasting note differentiating Ragnarok Odyssey to Soul Sacrifice is the distinct ease of controls and combos. It’s easy in RO to simply mash triangle and circle to end combos and deal the needed damage. However, in Soul Sacrifice, you cannot just swing your pulled sword

In a way, it’s a game that makes you more appreciative about your body and hopefully losing some grinding nuisance to blood or your body parts deforming into fantasy looks of disgust that makes you cringe.

Work week thus far as been quite relaxing, fitting time in between for some Weiss and portfolio construction. Turns out I am shrinking the size of the materials from 6 pages to about 4 to not only save space, but also how much you have to read XD It’s quite a wealth of materials to go through…

Mr. Lai, from Vancouver, finally stopped by K-OS and I happened to recall the last time we met 2.5 years ago at Tea Shop 168. We handed an opportunity for Doraemon, an elite Singapore player, of the meme we gave him since all he ever talked about in the past was Declocking… and leading us to Dora De leveling~

No ladder for WS until 29th due to time constraint after the normal ladder day and Saturday night activities which led to the title of the post. Cremali had posted that he had not enough food in the fridge but proposed to declare no ‘house in his fridge’.

Nothing is ever awesome with the PS3 other than Bomberman Ultra all night. With only 6 controllers, one of us had to step out while the drinking game commenced. This new game goal actually accelerates for very strategic planning than just surviving:

-Going around the circle, select one of the players playing who they will drink to should they win each round

-First person(s) defeated (can have multiple people defeated at once if u take others with you) each round drinks

-The last place finishers of each set drinks

-If it’s a draw game, everyone drinks!

-If there’s not enough controllers, the top X players will switch with the X players who are out.

-Settings (recommended): classic, 2 min, position: random (although it really isn’t), power ups of your choice

The night also ended up with some very hectic AWESOME SAO 2nd last episode with some S+M action… LOL blame anime which referenced book super well~ With us being drunk, we wanted to sing the OP and sounded really bad, but we didn’t record it, but we’ll do it for next time~ Such awesome times had with watching while drunk, especially Kirito face palming into Asuna after he saved her~ can’t wait for the conclusion.

PS3 is always followed with some typical Blazblue and Persona 4 arena. Sadly since I had to help with Sunday school volunteering, I had to sleep early. Roadmanb and Median both stayed up for some P4A and came out with this:

Sunday was making sure little kids don’t misbehave. Then followed by night church dinner party of games. It was mediocre as there weren’t too many friends I knew who went and most of them looked at their smart phone devices when bored…. SO HARD TO MAKE CONVERSATIONS. Yeah, that’s all I wanted to say.

Also, ACE Financial Services is offering me a chance to speak about entrepreneurship on a January weekend! Will have to find some time in between masters application to get that, so hopefully they can do end of the month January weekend.
